Synopsis & Plot
The series is set in the 1940s during World War II. It follows the story of Halil, a young and educated man who is the heir to a powerful tribe (aşiret). Halil, who was studying in France, is forced to return to Turkey due to the outbreak of the war.
Upon his return, he dreams of building a new life but falls victim to a conspiracy. Wrongfully accused of a crime he did not commit, he is convicted and exiled to the notorious Sinop Prison—a historical prison famous for its harsh conditions and inescapability.
Realizing he will not survive long inside the prison walls, Halil devises a plan to escape. His goal is not just freedom, but to exact revenge on the people who framed him. Along the way, he finds an unexpected ally in Meryem, the prison’s idealist doctor, while facing off against Vural, the cruel and corrupt prison director.
