The episode begins with the team members—Arda, Asiya, Sinan, and Jink—finding themselves in a difficult situation within the Ottoman Imperial Palace. Jink is being held in a dungeon located ten floors underground, where she encounters other prisoners and realizes that getting out will be nearly impossible. Meanwhile, Arda, Sinan, and Asiya are struggling to navigate the palace’s corridors and find the kitchen, which is their designated workspace. They are under pressure because İskender is injured and unable to guide them through this historical period, which he knows best.

The Sultan’s Poisoning and the Mystery of the Gifts

A major crisis unfolds as it is revealed that the Sultana has fallen gravely ill with a high fever, and poisoning is suspected. Suspicion initially falls on the “astrologer” (Jink), who is accused of being a sorceress and causing the illness. However, Asiya and the team discover that the poisoning was not caused by food but by a gift of clothes sent by the wife of the Ajam Shah. They find the original clothes discarded in the trash and realize that toxic garments were substituted in their place to harm the Sultana.

İskender’s Confrontation with Bekturo

İskender, having recovered from his previous injuries, enters the field and confronts his nemesis, Bekturo. He discovers Bekturo transporting a mysterious chest and demands to know its contents, though Bekturo remains defiant. A fight ensues, and while İskender manages to corner him, Bekturo taunts him, claiming that he cannot be killed and hinting at the arrival of the powerful entity Geyners. Bekturo eventually manages to escape, leaving İskender to focus on the immediate threat to the Sultana.

Scientific Analysis and the Race Against Time

Asiya uses her modern technology—a wristband scanner—to analyze the toxic clothes and discovers they are saturated with a heavy amount of cadmium. This presents a unique problem: cadmium will not be officially discovered for another 200 years, meaning the palace’s alchemists will recognize it as poison but will not know how to treat it specifically. Despite this, the team realizes that because the Sultana showed symptoms like vomiting, the poison’s impact might be manageable if they can intervene quickly.

The Looming Threat of War

The political stakes rise as the Vizier Ali Pasha, unaware of the exact nature of the poisoning, orders the army to prepare for war, believing the Ajam Shah has committed an act of aggression. The team must work urgently to reveal the truth and cure the Sultana to prevent a massive historical conflict. At the same time, Arda and Sinan manage to locate the kitchen and discover from the head chef that Jink (referred to by her nickname “Baykush” or Owl) was thrown into the dungeon simply for trying to write down a recipe, which is strictly forbidden in the palace kitchen.
